ssshhhh...

I played hooky from work yesterday. Well, that's not totally true. I did go in for a couple of hours to get some things done but got off early enough to enjoy a full day of mind-clearing events.

I did get some more Christmas shopping done. It was nice to take my time and browse for things. One thing that did annoy me was being ask "can I help you" at least 6 times at Bed Bath & Beyond. I appreciate the customer service but that was a little bit of an overkill for me.
I finally got one of those instant read thermometers for my turkey this year. I had an old one that would take forever to read and stabbed the biggest hole in my turkey. I'm so looking forward to making my Kentucky Browns with the left-overs. Pure comfort.

After shopping I decided to take a walk on the newly built trail down the road from my home. It was sunny, and cold and it was just what I needed. I got home and warmed up with a pot of coffee and snuggled with the dogs. I watched The Land of Women (I think that's the title). It was an ok watch. I cried a little. I'm glad I watched it myself. Jeff would of griped the whole time.

I did get some scrapping in too. Be sure to check out the sneak over at Studio Calico. April and Scarlett do some a fab job on putting these kits together. It's going to be another great one so it would be wise to get you subscription in.

AND I was asked by the lovely and oh so cute Rachel from RedVelvet to guest DT for December. How awesome is that? I'm so honored to represent this quirky kit club. Thanks Rachel!

Have a great one folks! We're half way to the weekend!!
