feeling a little blue

Not sure why I'm feeling the way I am this morning.....well, that's a lie, I do know why. I'm sure it's partly because I'm so tired from staying out past my bed time last night. Had a great time trick or treating with friends and they're kids. There was a big group of us, bundled up and slightly beer buzzed. It was getting a little too chilly for the kids so we headed back to the house after a round through the neighborhood.
My main reason for the blues is...big surprise....work. I do blog a lot about my job, I know this. You'd think I would quit whining and find something else but I've been here for almost 7 years, accumulated a good amount of vacation time, and I'm good at what I do. There's just a big pitfall in working in a small office with all women. It, at times, feels like high school. I hate it. I hated high school and I hate dealing with this crap at work.
I'm the type of girl that tells it like it is. I don't front. If I'm pissed off or happy, you'll know it. I don't play games, at least not the kind of games these women play. You've got a problem with me, come and talk to me. Don't give me the cold shoulder or act like I don't exist. It's childish and I'm done with it. Grow the F up, right? Are you feeling me on this? Ggrrrzzz. So guess who's going to have to do some confronting today? That's right, yours truly. I'm not going to be an outright bitch though. I know how to get through to them. I am a professional at work and only talk like this because it's my blog, my inner thoughts, and I consider all of you who read my blog my home girls so this is just a little moan and groan-fest.
Well, I'm already feeling a little better. It's really helps for me to get this down. I do have some great news to share but I can't just yet. You'll just have to wait a little ;) I'll give a hint....it has to do with December and my favorite cake. teeheee.....

Sorry for your anguish. I know how you feel, been there. I worked in an office with all women, oh the drama! I kept to myself mostly, but when it directly involved me and I had to voice, I did. Sometimes it is just necessary to confront. I hope you set them straight and get to feel better.

I liked your clue and I think I figured it out. Looking forward to seeing what you do for December. Your work always inspires me.

I spend so much time at work it's all I ever talk about. Don't worry, it's cool. I'm sorry things aren't great, but I'm just learning there is no perfect work place.
Oh, would the surprise be that you're a Guest for Red Velvet???

Dude. Wierd. I just posted a similar post about my frustrations with work and how I am upfront and what not. I totally feel you. I hope it gets better for you. And good for you for comfronting people. I feel like that always goes a long way for me. Have a good weekend. =)

Oh p.s. Lasagna recipe is on its way!

girl, it's like that at my work too. I wonder if there is a correlation between the high school drama and women. I hope you feel better and don't let them get you down.
